I hope you all had a wonderful and safe New Year!

This weekend  I had the pleasure of dismantling the Christmas. It’s funny how everyone wants to help decorate it but no one wants to help take it down. 

So imagine my surprise when Leroy unknowingly decided to lend a helping tail.

Yep, those are ornaments hanging from his tail. 

You see our tree barely made it to Christmas. It was half dead when we brought it home from the Christmas tree lot. Which was my doing. The tree lot didn’t have much of a selection, it was either one that was half dead but had a nice shape to it or one that was alive and had holes all over it. I convinced myself that I could nurse the half dead tree back to life with some water and TLC. I did my absolute best to give it nice fresh water everyday and to show it some love, but despite my best efforts, it gave up on me a few days before Christmas. 

The needles were dropping like flies and without a sturdy branch to hold on to the ornaments latched onto anything that brushed up against it, like a nice fluffy Newfie tail. 

One happy tail swinging by was all it took for these ornaments to hitch a ride to a safer place.

Even the star latched on for a ride.

And unsuspecting Leroy had no idea that a group of ornaments had hijacked his tail.

He walked around the house with them for well over 10 minutes and then he laid down, still having no idea that they were attached.
