This Is What I Love: Fishing, Dogs, Dragonflies and Kids.
My days go by so quickly lately.
Some days I feel like I am just going through the motions to get to the next day.
It’s days like this past Saturday, where we revisited the river that we discovered last week, that bring me back to life, and that awesome feeling of love.
I loved that day.
I loved so much about that day.
I love that Leroy sat next to my son while he fished. Even though he was facing the wrong direction.
I love that my husband, who was never a dog person before me and who never was a fan of nature, is walking down a river with his dog.
I love this sweet face that is staring back at me.
I love that this dragonfly took a rest on the rim of Gracie’s hat and she had no idea.
I love that this sweet toothless little girl is wondering why I am taking so many pictures of her.
I love that these two are fishing together and Sherman is sitting front and center waiting for the catch of the day.
I love this dragonfly because he was pretty and blue and he graced us with his presence.
I loved that day. I want to freeze that day in time.
What’s better than fishing, dogs, dragonflies and kids? Nothin.

Days like that permeate our lives. I just wish we could hold onto them longer. That’s when time slows down. That’s when we really see everything around us and just soak it all up.

It did make me chuckle though when I saw the pic of Leroy facing the wrong way, I guess he had something else on his mind, not just fishing!
