Follow Up Friday. Barking, Garden, Pigs, and More!

Today I am joining Jodi from JodiStone, Life with Sampson and Delilah, in Follow Up Friday.

As Jodi would say “For those new to the blog, my follow-up Friday provides me with an opportunity to update or revise a post from the previous week.

You know sometimes you post about something and you need an update but it doesn’t warrant a whole blog.  Or sometimes someone made a comment that really resonated with you.  Yup, Follow-Up Friday baby!”

Now, while I do not think I will be able to do a Follow Up Friday Post every week, because I am just not that consistent, I think I am going to try and do this once month.

This Follow Up Friday will be more of a follow up of the last few weeks:)

Here we go:

My Garden-is doing wonderful! (everyone knock on wood. Knock again.) There have been no estranged wildlife eating anything and most importantly no snakes! My tomatoes are finally turning red and I was even able to eat one the other day and yes they are edible!

Yay! My hubby and I are in full discussion about expanding the garden next summer!  Double yay!

My Fair Photos-Did not earn one single ribbon:( Not one. I was pretty bummed out about that, but the baby pigs at the fair made up for it!

The next day I found out the swine flu (H3N2) is making its round at local fairs. Go figure. And yes, I touched them. Can you blame me?

Leroy’s Barking-This is a topic from a few months ago but I thought I would give you an update: The barking has decreased. It wasn’t due to any heroic training efforts on my part. The neighbors just suddenly moved.

What exactly was Sherman wishing for on our Wordless Wednesday post? Snow of course!

I wish I may, I wish I might, have 12 inches of snow fall in my yard tonight!

Bobby-This isn’t a follow up this a news alert! After a few weeks of nagging me nonstop about starting a blog for Gibby I finally set Bobby up with a blog: The Adventures of Gibby the Guinea Pig. Now this is his blog, he does all the writing and all the picture taking with his camera. It’s a very simple blog, perfect for a 10 year old. He has posted twice, and then he got a really bad cold, which he is recovering from. Swine flu? Who knows.

I’m not sure how the blog will go for him with school starting soon so maybe he will let me maintain it for him while he is busy! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and visited earlier in the week! He was checking his blog for comments and he was so excited to see you visit!

Giveaways! I am very behind in giveaways! (I blame the Olympics for distracting me!) So over the next few weeks I will be trying to get caught up. I promise not to overload you! Right now I have giveaway going for the kindle version of One Unforgettable Journey. There will be a giveaway for a paperback  version coming up soon too!

That about wraps it for Follow Up Friday! That was fun!

I love Sherman in the snow, looks like he’s having a great time! It snowed when I first came to live with my human mummy and daddy and I loved it. hoping for more snow later in the year!

The barking situation has improved, but has not totally gone away. He still likes to hear himself bark:)

      Thanks for visiting Bobby’s blog!

We love this idea of a follow up post.

Mom is trying to pluck that beautiful tomato off the screen – it looks so good. Congrats on the garden and good luck with the bigger one.

Tell Leroy we are right there with him on the snow deal – we are still waiting for the snow that didn’t come last winter.

A blog for Bobby is a great idea. Great way to get kids writing. Hope he is able to do it during school, even if just once a week or so.

    Have a good weekend.

LOL, I have to admit I did photo edit the tomato a bit, it wasn’t THAT red, and it had a flaw in it but I turned it to the back:) It did taste good though!

I hear you, I am hoping the boys get some extra snow this year to make up for getting ripped off last year!

I hope he can keep up with it too, a once a week post would be good for him!

Hey thanks for joining me Jen!! That tomato looks amazing, kudos to you for getting the garden figured out.

I would never, ever have guessed snow. :-) Not something I am particularly looking forward to.

As for Bobby’s blog, I must have somehow missed that post. I off to pop over and welcome him to blogville. :-)

I didn’t know Bobby had a blog for his guinea pig! I’ll be sure to stop by soon! Blog-itis is spreading in your family!

Your tomato looks amazing! I had tomatoes one year here in August – but they would completely dry out and turn into sun-dried tomatoes on the vine because of the ridiculous temps here. Glad the critters have stopped ransacking your garden!

    Those piggies are so adorable!

LOL-Bobby just started his blog, I mentioned it on my FB page but not here until today:)

I’m glad they have stopped too! I was starting to get worried about the tomatoes because they weren’t turning red! Whew!

Thanks Julie! You were right! I feel so bad for the Newfs, they got ripped off this winter because there wasn’t much snow and now they have to deal with this horrible heat!

I love his blog! I received a new post in my inbox this morning and it made my day. He and his guinea pig are just so awesome. What a great mom you are for helping him get started. :-)

I hope Sherman will have to wait for his dreams to come true for a very long time.

Thank you for reminding me I need to figure out what to do to enter some photos in our fair… IF I ever find time to do that anyway. BOO for yours not getting any ribbons! Our news just had a preview of a “warning” for the upcoming fair season and animals and I can now guess what it is – another BOO! Yay for the boy’s blog – going to check it out now!

I was bummed about my fair pictures, but that’s ok. Good luck in yours! You know I read on the news that the fair we went to said that they had signs not to touch the pigs, I didn’t see any signs anywhere!
