1. Absorbed in thought.

2. Excessively concerned with something.

3. Formerly or already occupied.

4. Already used and therefore unavailable for further use.

Preoccupied.

That has been me over the past few weeks, hence the scattered posts.

Hence the lack of creativity. Hence the reason why I feel like a horrible blogger.

But…I have an excuse.

Well, I have excuses. Plural.

First, I have this excuse:

This scary excuse attended his first school dance the other week.

His first school dance with girls.

Which left me all, “Oh where has my little boy gone.” for days.

Then I have this excuse:

That’s Bobby in the white having a totally awesome sack on the QB.

I have been his football teams photographer this year and I was determined to get some awesome action shots.

This is the only awesome action shot I got of Bobby all season because every time he did something awesome I wasn’t prepared.

Awesome.

This is the next excuse:

Bobby turned 11 last week which left me all “Where has been little boy gone.” again…… for a few more days.

My next excuse is this:

ClamJam 2012

ClamJam 2012 is tomorrow.

For those who are new to the blog, ClamJam is our annual clambake that we have at our home every October.

It is called ClamJam because it’s a damn good time.

We usually average about 70 people at ClamJam so it’s a pretty big event and a ton of work.

Throw in a few root canals that I’ve had done this month, one which was an emergency and one which just about had to be redone because of Leroy’s big head (which is a story I will share soon) and those are the excuses I am giving for being preoccupied.

I promise, I am almost done being preoccupied and we’ll be back to our regular scheduled program shortly!

And just because I can’t believe I almost wrote this whole post without a picture of my boys, here is Leroy doing what I have been doing for the past few weeks!
