5 Things That Made Me Smile This Week
This certainly wasn’t the calm, relaxing, take a deep breath week before Christmas that I had planned.
Nope. Nothing about it was calm, or relaxing, and believe me, I only told you about 1/2 the stuff that went on. The rest we’ll just leave for another day because despite all the negative things that happened there were still a few positive things that went on and those are the things that I need to focus on.
So here’s my list of things that brought a smile to my face this week:
1. Snow. Not when it was pelting me across the face as I tried to finish up my Christmas shopping, but when I got home and saw Newfie faces covered in it.
2. Band Concert. Bobby had his first band concert this week where he played We Wish You A Merry Christmas on his saxophone. It was music to my ears.
3. Checking out the chimney. I found Gracie checking out the chimney this week. She was just wondering how Santa fits down such a small opening. I swear we had this conversation last year.
4. Leroy in the show ring. Well, this was last week but it’s still putting a smile on my face this week even though he didn’t win. It was nice to be back at a show again.
5. My Christmas tree and my family gathered around it. We might not all have our health right now but we are all together and that’s what matters.
So how about you? What made you smile this week?

December 22, 2012 at 10:15 am (180 days ago)Hi! You really have had a busy, not so pleasant week. That flu is killer diller and I do hope your family is all right now. I shared the video…so funny! Also congratulations to Bobby on a song well played. Leroy, better luck next time, although I’m sure you were the best looking pup in the show! Nice tree. Don’t worry Gracie…Santa fits anywhere! Happy Holidays!

December 22, 2012 at 10:41 am (180 days ago)Guess what!! Our vet is working the overnight shift at the emergency clinic on Christmas Eve this year. That means that if any of the reindeer need medical attention while they’re flying around the world on Monday night SHE’LL BE THEIR DOCTOR!! How cool is that?!? It made us smile!!

December 22, 2012 at 10:47 pm (179 days ago)Your post made us smile! Newfie photos make my momma smile because she’s really got a thing for Newfies.
We had a great hike today and I found a stick that was about 15 feet long – just right, in other words. For some reason that made all of our hiking companions smile. My buddies Choco and Enzo in their Christmas sweaters made us smile. And Denise won Survivor!
We’ve had a crazy week too, but we’ve found lots of things to make us smile as well, and we think it’s a great idea to think of those.

Garth
