Can You Describe Your Dog In One Word?

The other day day I was trying to think of one word that would describe Sherman and Leroy.

One word.

Now that’s hard.

For Leroy I came up with a whole mess of words because he’s complex and it was tough to narrow him down to just to one word, but majestic stuck out because every time I look at him I am in awe of his dogness beauty.

Sherman was easy because he wears his heart on his sleeve.

So what about you? Can you describe your dog in one word?

I asked my biped and she says it’s easy to pick one word for when I was a puppy – determined. But it’s much harder now and she’d probably pick loyal.

After two years, I still haven’t mastered “wordless Wednesday”, so I doubt I can reign in my wordiness, but it’s a really cool idea, so I’m definitely going to try.

That’s a toughie. I’d probably say “sweet” but since she *really* doesn’t like strangers they might not agree with me. I might have to say “misunderstood.” But I think I’ll stick with sweet!

    Great idea!

Rodrigo – Joyful – he seems to be so happy all the time; he’s soaks up every experience.

Sydney – Princess – she’s my baby and loves to be snuggled, hugged, and loved on. She’s very dainty outside and inside and then she does something that reminds me “yep, she’s a dog.”

Blue – Silly – he can be sleepy and all I have to do is make a noise or kiss him all over his face to get him to play again; he’s a hoot.

Great question! For R, I’d choose “enthusiastic”. For Shyla, oh my, this is very hard because she’s still such a mixture of emotions. But, I think that “sensitive” would be my one word now. I wonder if that would still be the word for Shyla next year? She’s changing so fast.

I think you described Leroy and Sherman perfectly. Every time I see Sherman’s face he looks so endearing and concerned about you. Loyal definitely fits him. Leroy just is majestic. Regal too.

I’m not sure I can completely narrow Daisy, Jasper and Cupcake to one word, but these would be in my list:

    Daisy – Gentle
    Jasper – Fun
    Cupcake – Sassy

    Lucy- joyous
    Calhoun- charming
Since he’s staying with me right now, McIver- gallant

Lucy is the happiest dog I know. She loves her toys, her food and her mamma. She loves life.
Calhoun can charm anyone with his face, his wiggle, and his friendly demeanor. He can melt his mamma with one look.
McIver has always been my knight in shining armor. He protects me- even when I might not need it! He walks with the pride of a medieval knight.

    What a fun game!

Great shots and great adjectives. I think mine for Chester and Gretel would be as “regal”. We often call Gretel he noodle. She can be pretty submissive and turns into this limp noodle when you go to pick her up or put her harness on. It’s cute except for when I am in a hurry :) I think Chester’s word is Stoic or Distinguished.
