Sherman Meet Gibby. Gibby Meet Sherman.

Sherman’s life for the past month has been anything but exciting.

Restricted activity.

Confinement.

Outside to go to the bathroom ONLY.

No running, no jumping, no leaping, no trotting.

You get my drift.

His life had been non-adventurous.

Which has led him to following me around everywhere.

I mean, he normally follows me around but lately it has gotten kind of stalker-ish.

Everywhere I go Sherman is sure to follow.

I don’t think I’ve gone to the bathroom by myself in weeks and putting laundry away by myself is just unheard of.

Every room that I go into to put clothes away he is right there by my side making sure I do it correctly.

Which is how he ran into Gibby the other day.

I went into Bobby’s room to put some clothes away and before I could close the door Sherman pushed his way through, which was no big deal because he’s been in there before but this time Gibby just happened to be visible and making squeaking noises from inside his cage.

And then before I knew it they were nose to nose.

Thankfully, Gibby was safely secured behind bars.

You see Sherman is not a fan of rodents. He’s actually be known to pin several groundhogs underneath his massive body, in our backyard.

On more than one occasion.

I fear that he may just swallow little Gibby in a single gulp if he could, or flatten him like a guinea pig pancake.

Notice the foam building up on the side of his mouth?

That’s a sign that he sees something delicious to eat.

Anyway, after a few minutes Gibby ran into his little hideout because I think Sherman freaked him out a bit and ever since then Sherman has been sitting and waiting for Gibbys return.

Oh dear, giant dogs are capable of being very focused and patient. I hope the wee little rodent doesn’t die of fright.

Well, Gibby sure is brave – I am pretty sure my bunny sister Lulu would have freaked out. She’s even afraid of me!

Hang in there Sherman! Sooner or later Gibby HAS to come out to get a drink or eat! Although, it could be a long wait…

Poor Gibby! I hope he isn’t too scared of Sherman.

I remember Laura used to be very patient when she spotted something interesting; she could just sit and wait there for hours.

I wonder what Sherman is doing now? Did he tell Leroy about Gibby? :)

OH boy, poor Gibby is probably shaking in his little hide out. I’d be scared too with a big Brown, frothing head frozen next to my cage.

This is so hilarious. Our dogs kill mice with one head snap. And Rodrigo killed a baby bunny when he was a puppy. Now they team up and kill moles.

I didn’t know they had it in them, but they prove me wrong every week.

LOL! The guinea pig pancake had me in stitches. (Sorry Bobby!)
Let us hope Sherman doesn’t figure out how to open cages with all the free time he has on hand. I fear Gibby would not be happy. (Maybe he’s just watching because it’s like dog TV?)

LOL! I hope Sherman wouldn’t eat Gibby. Maybe he was foaming just because he was excited to finally meet the littlest member of the household. I’m sure Sherman’s been smelling Gibby and wondering where you guys were hiding him!

    Oh dear!

The first time Bella met her bunny cousin (who was in her cage at the time), she stuck her tongue through the bars and licked her. That poor bunny didn’t know what to do.
