Traveling With Mr. Drools And Sir Slobbers A Lot #DogTested

Leroy driving

Traveling with Mr. Drools and Sir Slobbers A Lot is always a fun time.

Each of them always really enjoys taking a ride in the car no matter where we are going. It could be to a dog show, the bank, the park or just to pick the kids up from school.

As soon as I say “Let’s go for a ride!” They are in the car before I have my coat on.

It would be nice if that’s all there was to it, but before we hit the road we need to make sure we have our traveling essentials.

Our travel kit, or joy ride trip kit as I like to refer to it consists of your basic travel items:

Leashes.

Bowls.

Poop Bags.

Treats/Food

Pet First Aid Kit

Those are the standard the items.

The really important Newfie Essentials are:

Water. Plenty of water because they work up a thirst riding in the car anticipating where we’re going.

Paper Towels. Because one time Leroy vomited in the car and I didn’t have anything to pick it up with. Another dog lesson learned.

Drool Bibs-you never know when you may encounter someone or some place where you need to be wearing a drool bib.

Towels-Big and small. Big for any muddy situations that we may encounter and small for drool rags. You can never have too many of these. Just make sure that you remove them after they have been used on a trip. A drool rag that has been sitting in your car for a month tends to get stiff and crunchy.

Windex. Slobber happens all over my windows, all the time. Especially the rear window of which I need to see out of from time to time.

Being able to have storage room for our essentials and provide  Mr. Drools and Sir Slobbers A Lot a comfortable ride is important to me and is one of the features that I look for in a car.

I believe that Subaru’s Forester is the biggest model that they offer right now. The dogs and their travel essentials would fit comfortably with the rear sits folded down in this model, but then I would have no room for the kids. Which could present a little bit of a problem and some safety concerns if they had to ride on the roof.

That’s alright though. After watching Grant Weber’s video I’m pretty sure after a meeting with Mr. Drools and Sir Slobbers A Lot he’ll get on this little problem we’ve encountered. After all, his job is to find the perfect car for any dog.

Like the cool canine drivers license I created for Sir Drools A Lot and Mr. Drools?

You can create one too with Subaru’s fun Facebook apps. Just make sure you don’t use your real address on the license because it will be displayed on Subaru’s page.  You don’t think we really live in Slobberville, Ohio do you?

The fun doesn’t stop there!

Subaru has also created an awesome giveaway where some lucky dog or person will win a $350 visa gift card and another lucky dog or person will win a $150 Visa gift card! There’s tons of ways for you to have a chance to win and you’ll have to like Subaru’s Facebook page to get started! The other entries are optional and can be done once each day!
