I apologize for not posting much lately but my focus has been needed elsewhere in my life over the past few weeks. I guess my focus is always needed somewhere else in my life but usually I’m pretty good with spreading it out.
Not so much this time.
Anyway, I’m in need of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly type of post so here’s a quick run down of that.
I’m going to start with The Ugly area first since the last thing you should read is a Good Thing, because I want you to leave with a smile not a frown.
The Ugly
We are in the Week 3 of the teachers strike in my community and at this time there is no end in sight and Bobby and Gracie’s education is not what it was a month ago. I have been strongly advised by myself to not bring issues of the strike here to the blog. It’s not that I don’t have a lot to say about it, because I do, and that’s the problem and that’s where all my focus has been over the last few weeks. It’s draining, it’s frustrating, it sucks and things are getting ugly. Maybe after it’s all over I will tell you more, but at this time I think it’s in my best interest to keep it away from here.
The Bad
O.k., there really isn’t a bad. It’s just ugly and good but I had to make the title work, so there you have it.
The Good
Sherman went for his first laser therapy treatment last week and everything went great! We are seeing a holistic vet for his treatment and this is all new for me and very exciting so I’m going to do a separate post about it in a few days.
Leroy’s ears are finally getting better! We completely switched ear medications last week and within just a few days I could see a marked improvement in his ears. We’re not out of the woods just yet but it’s great to see some positive changes!
We were nominated for a BlogPaws Nose to Nose Award this year! We are a finalist in the Best Blog Photo category again and I’m super excited and honored to be among such wonderful bloggers and would like to thank whoever nominated us and wish all the finalists the best!
And completely non-related, I saw this t-shirt on Facebook last week and I really want it but I have no idea where to get it from!
So there you have it. The Good. The Bad (but not really). The Ugly, and a t-shirt that has my current thought written all over it!

I'm so happy, yet so sad for you! Happy that you've been nominated--I love the 'Brain' picture--and that both Leroy and Sherman are getting better, but sad about the school issues. I must say that it does sound 'ugly'. Hope that your days begin to improve. In the meantime, know we are all pulling for you! Hugs--even if you are only speaking to your dog today!

I hear you about the school strike...I dont have kids but we are going through something similar in Ontario. Teachers were ordered back to work and a law was passed so they can not negotiate contracts....but in rebuttle they stopped helping extra curricular activities. Including sports, theatre, parent teacher nights, and signing report cards. It is one big UGLY mess...not getting cleared up any time soon. Its been going on for ages....teachers have it GOOD in Ontario. Its annoying.
