Today I’m participating in a Mother’s Day contest hosted by NerdWallet.
All you have to do for the contest is write a blog post about the best Mother’s Day present under $25.
Alright, I thought long and hard about this and to be 100% honest everything that I want is way more than $25. Even when I tried to think cheap I still came way above $25.
I’m sorry. It’s not that I have expensive taste, it’s just that everything that I really, really want is more the $25.
A new camera lens. A new dog dryer. A new basement floor.
All way above $25.
But I did think of something that wouldn’t cost anybody anything and would make me one extremely happy little Momma.
It’s not anything that says I’m the best Mom in the world because that I am not and I would never claim to be, no matter what Gracie says:)
All I need is for everyone to keep being them and a little favor from each one.
For Gracie to keep being crazy and wild and exploring new things, and to please clean up the end table of all your crayons and markers. That is why I bought you a BIG container for Christmas.
For Bobby to keep telling me he loves me even if he’s going to be a teenager soon and to please stop stuffing your stinky, sweaty socks under the couch cushions. Especially your baseball socks.
For Sherman to keep being adorable and to please stop peeing on the garbage can. For God’s sake quit peeing on the garbage can, we all know it’s your territory.
For Leroy to keep being goofy and to please stop blowing boogers on my face in the morning. Slobber is one thing, but doggie boogers in the morning, on my face, is just gross.
And for Gibby to keep calling me in the morning when he hears my voice. I just love your little squeaks but please, please stop stop knocking your water bottle off the cage in the middle of the night. It’s working, I check it 5 times a day.
And if anyone wants to swing by the Cheesecake Factory and get me that piece of chocolate cheesecake with real whipped cream that I’ve being dying for the past 3 months, well that would be awesome too and that only costs $8.00.
