We’ve talked about it several times here.
Slobber happens when you live with two Newfoundlands.
It happens. There’s no way of avoiding it.
It just happens.
I’m good with it.
Except when it comes to taking pictures.
I don’t see the slobber when I’m taking pictures.
I could take the most beautiful pictures of one of the boys and then go to edit it and put it up on the blog and think, “That’s a good picture except for the huge goober that’s wrapped around his nose, or those bubbles hanging from his mouth.”
Yes, the slobber is what makes them, them. I know that, but sometimes a picture minus a long foamy goober is ok too.
I know where I go wrong.
It’s the treats that I use when I’m trying to get them to cooperate for a picture shoot.
The treats I use aren’t the normal treats that I give them on a daily basis.
I use “special” treats so that I can grab their attention and keep them focused.
Sometimes the treats are just too good and they are just too focused.
And the more they are focused on the treat, the more slobber they produce.
Take these new treats that I received from Chewy.com
Bubbling foaming slobber.
Oh my lord.
This is not going to work well.
By the looks of it, these dehydrated Black Angus Beef treats made by Orijen are just too slobber worthy and are not made to be my “special picture taking” treats.
Do not use Black Angus Beef treats when trying to get that perfect picture.
Now, if your perfect pictures needs to include slobber and lots of it, then you can use these treats. Otherwise, use these off-set and make sure to have a towel handy.
They’re that good.
***Disclosure-I received the Black Angus Beef dehydrated dog treats from Chewy.com for free in return for my honest review of this product. All opinions expressed here are mine and mine only and all slobber shown here is Sherman’s and Sherman’s only.
