LeashPals. Bring Your Dog’s Favorite Plush Toy On Walks!

Have you ever seen a dog that carries it leash in its mouth?

I’ve seen several and I think that it’s just adorable, but I can also see how it can be a problem for dogs and for their owners.

For instance, when I worked at the vet clinic I would see several dogs who got exited and they would grab their leash and walk around the room, it always made me smile…..until……I had to take them in the back for one thing or another.

I needed the leash.

I can’t safely walk a dog though the clinic when he insists on holding the leash.

It’s not safe.

It’s cute but it’s not safe.

So when I saw this new product hit Kickstarter I thought it was great.

It might not be a product for every dog, but I believe it’s certainly a product for a lot of dogs.

LeashPals

It’s a leash clip that lets your dog carry its favorite toy wherever it goes and it keeps dog toys off the ground!

Here are three ways to use LeashPals:

1) For dogs that pull, attach the LeashPals clip onto your dog’s leash. Open the large LeashPals clip and position it onto your dog’s leash at a point where the dog’s favorite plush toys hangs 1 or 2 inches from the ground.

2) For dogs that don’t pull, attach the LeashPals clip onto your dog’s collar. Open the large LeashPals clip and position it onto your dog’s collar so that the plush toy drops to its chest or to its side. Now your dog can easily grab the toy and go!

3) For dogs in the car, attach the Leash Pals clip onto your dog’s seatbelt or harness restraint. The dog can hold the plush toy to calm themself and keep the drool on the plush toy — and off the seat!

I think it’s pretty neat and this project is trying to get funded on Kickstarter right now so that it can go into production!

I’ve featured products before from Kickstarter, but just to refresh your brain:

Kickstarter is a crowd-funding platform that allows creative projects to gain support and involve backers in the projects through dialogue and exchange with the creators, all through the process.

I’m a backer for this project which means that I’ve made a pledge to try and help get this project off the ground and into production.

If you think it’s a great product you can get in on the action too and back it, you pick the amount of money that you feel comfortable pledging from $1.00 to $100.00!

You can read more the LeashPals right here!

**Disclosure-I am NOT being compensated for this post. The creator of this project is actually a personal friend of mine and is a wonderful, compassionate person. I will vouch for her any day of the week.

What a fantastic idea!!! My dogs don't grab their leashes or their dog car harnesses, but a lot of dogs do.

Hey Jen, love it, if you want, have your friend contact me (either email, phone) and if she doesn't mind sending me one for Leo, I will try it and certainly blog about it. Sounds like the perfect remedy for long walks and outdoor outings because Leo does get tired of holding Wilson when we are out for the entire day. Let me know.

Hi Cathy,

Thank you so much for the offer and I'm sure Bonnie would greatly appreciate that, however, there is only one prototype out right now and none to review. The product needs to get funded for more to go into production.
