I’ve been waiting to take a nice long hike with Leroy for quite some time but the weather lately has not been cooperating. It’s that time of the year where it’s either too hot, too rainy or there just isn’t time.
Earlier in the week though everything finally came together and we had a gorgeous fall day with temps hoovering around 45 degrees.
I cleared my schedule for 2 hours so I could take full advantage of it and Leroy and I headed off to the park where I found a beautiful trail for us to explore. I made sure to bring my camera along so that I could capture some pictures and Leroy and I made a pack that if I let him smell and pee on as many things as he wanted, then he would stop for a few seconds and let me take some pictures of him.
His smile that day was awesome and seeing his happy face made me smile.
We hiked for a long time and we both took every step in.
I forgot to wear my hiking boots and the trail was a little muddy because it rained the day before and I wound up stepping in a few giant mud puddles because I was observing all the colorful tress around us in the park.
Leroy stepped in a HUGE pile of horse shit because he was also observing.
And I had to pee about 20 minutes into our hike, because that’s what happens to me when its cold outside.(I held it in and there were no accidents. Don’t worry)
But it was all good because we were smiling.
