Well I really wasn’t home all that much by myself this week because the kids only had school on Monday and Tuesday so that didn’t leave me with much alone time, which was fine by me, except that Gracie got a cold and was sneezing all over the place and I did my very best to provide her with all that she needed while trying to stay in a “sneeze freeze zone.”
I don’t know why I bother with that because no matter how much I try to avoid the germs they’re going to hunt me down and find me.
Besides the germs it was a good week. We had a few inches of snow fall during the week and I got to go on a night snow walk with Sherman and Leroy.
I absolutely love walking at night while it’s snowing. It’s so quiet, relaxing and beautiful and I got to do it twice. After the walk I came home and curled up on the couch with Gracie and had some caramel hot chocolate. Delicious.
And of course, Thursday was Thanksgiving and I wore sweatpants all day so that I could eat and eat and eat. I barely saved room for a turkey sandwich as a late night snack but somehow I manged to shove it down my throat without puking. My stomach was a bit swollen.
I didn’t go shopping on Black Friday. There were some great deals but I just couldn’t bring myself to muster up the strength to deal with all the crowds. I wanted to keep my good week going without any unnecessary altercations.
This weekend I’m going to try and imitate my cartoon graphic, except I think I’m going to wear a pink sweater instead of a pink t-shirt and boots instead of pink flats. I guess that means I’ll have to do my hair too. Damn it.
My favorite picture this week is not one that I took recently but one that needs to be in this post today because today is the day that Ohio State
beats plays Michigan.
It’s one of college football’s biggest rivals and seeing as the Buckeyes are undefeated this year, I don’t think the Wolverines have much of a chance. That’s all I’m going to say about that.
On the bog this week we talked about my half-ass attempt at getting some holiday pictures with 2 kids and 2 dogs. We did o.k., but I think we could of done better.
Iams is spreading the holiday cheer by doubling their food donation to pets in need and giving 500,000 bowls of food to dogs in shelters! AMAZING!
Gracie’s starting to bring some holiday artwork home from school, all of which are edible and the dogs want to eat them.
And last but certainly not least. we put our first Holiday Gift Guide up yesterday! You should check it out because I worked long and hard on it!
Things are really going to start heating up here on the blog because it appears that I have over committed myself to holiday fun. I’m freaking out a bit but I’ll do my best to make it work….somehow….maybe….I hope.
Tomorrow starts The Advent Calendar For Dog Lovers! 24 days of giveaways! Woot-woot!
