Last week we finally had our first real sign of Spring.

I was so excited to see these gorgeous little daffodils bloom into beautiful yellow flowers.

They were around for a day and a half and then it snowed.

Luckily I knew the snow was coming and I was able to save them from a very short life and enjoy them a longer than nature wanted me too.

Spring flowers are blooming in most areas now and it’s such a happy sight but keep in mind that there are quite a few flowers that can be harmful to dogs if ingested, such as these beautiful daffodils, so be sure to monitor your dogs if they have access to your gardens.

Sherman is very good with flowers which is why I was able to trust him with the daffodils. Leroy would of tried to eat them!

In other news, I’m sorry I haven’t been able to visit a lot of your blogs lately, Leroy hasn’t been feeling well and I’ve been focusing my time on him. He had a few bad days last week, and a very tough Saturday but the good news, is he seems to be doing much as of right now!

  1. What lovely photos and I am so sorry to hear that Leroy is poorly. I do hope he is starting to feel loads better :( Just thought I would introduce myself as your blog has given me so much pleasure over the last few weeks. I absolutely adore dogs and I am experienced dog owner and have had five Rotties over the years with my latest two boys living a lovely healthy and active life with my husband and I. However my life will be changing so much on Saturday (!!) when I collect my beautiful Dexter, my 8.5 week old brown Newfie and I am so excited (plus a little nervous like a new parent!!) and I so want to give him the best life ever. We are totally committed to giving this wonderful boy the best life ever and hope to learn and share with you and your boys over the coming months and years. Thanks for an amazing blog, you are an inspiration and the love you have for your boys is just amazing and sooo special. Much love, Sarah xxx

  2. Hi Y’all!

We spent a couple of days in the mountains last week and guess what! It snowed!

Hope Leroy is soon “all better”.

  3. I’m glad to hear Leroy is getting better….I hope that continues. It is so stressful when they are ill, isn’t it?
The daffodils are beautiful. I’m just getting crocuses now, but I guess it’s a good thing we didn’t get the daffodils….they would have gotten snowed on here too. I hope spring is finally here to stay!

  4. Oh, we didn not know that daffy-dils were on the no-no list for pups. Luckily we don’t have any in our yard, but we do see lots of them on our walks. Sorry to hear about Leroy – hope he is much better soon.

  5. I’m very sorry to hear that Leroy hasn’t been feeling well, I hope he is on the mend. The daffodils popped here over the weekend. Its such a pretty sight, especially since I have seen them covered in snow before! We didn’t even know that daffodils were toxic until we wrote our blog! Love Dolly

  6. I’m glad that Leroy is on the mend, although I would have preferred him to stay well in the first place.

Sherman looks very lovely with your daffodils. This is the time of year when it always starts to confuse me that it isn’t spring everywhere. Our weather has been in the 80s for weeks.

  7. I’m sorry about Leroy, hope he is doing better, i had no idea about daffodils can be poisonous to dogs, i’m going to check my back yard next time. Pretty pictures by the way

    Julie.

  8. Can we just tell you that Sherman and Leroy are as cute as they come? We don’t think we’ve ever had a Newfie submitted to our site. Maybe they’re just too angelic.
