Hungry Hungry Hippo

Hungry_Hungry_Hippos

Remember that game Hungry Hungry Hippo?

I use to love that game but I was always afraid that I was going to lose one of my fingers to the green hungry hippo.

I don’t know why.

The green one just always seemed hungrier than the other hippos on my board.

Every time I would go to grab one of the little white balls, because I was totally cheating, the green one would try to eat my finger.

If I was smart I totally would of picked the green hippo as my hippo because he was the hungriest but I always wanted the pink one.

I’m such a girl.

Well the other night Leroy was the hungry hungry green hippo and my husband’s friend was one of the little white balls.

Technically, his thumb was the little white ball.

We had a few close friends over for New Years Eve and of course some tasty appetizers.

One of the appetizers were little hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls. Aka-mini pigs in a blanket.

My husband’s friend was very much enjoying the little hot dogs.

Every time he would eat one he would rest his hands in his lap and Leroy would try to bite his thumb because he thought it was a mini hot dog.

Friend-“Your dog just bit my thumb.”

Me-“Sorry.”

Friend-“He just bit it again. Don’t you feed him?”

Me-“Tuck your thumb in or stop eating the hot dogs. He’s scheduled to eat in 28 minutes. He’s on a strict schedule.”

Friend, “He just bit my thumb again.”

Me-“Dude. Tuck them in after you eat a hot dog!”

Then I held my hands up and said, ” Before you eat a hot dog you have 10 fingers. After you eat one you tuck your thumbs in and you have 8 fingers. It’s really quite simple.”

We went on like this for a ridiculous amount of time.

Then I just took the hot dogs away from him.

Some people.

Some people just don’t know how to play the game.

It's so much easier to train dogs than humans.

LOL! I loved that game too! The friend must have secretly enjoyed the attention and the nibbles from Leroy because otherwise he would have tucked those white balls, I mean thumbs, like you said!
