Do You Sense What I Sense? No. No I Do Not.

_DSC0488

Are you ever out with your dog and all of a sudden you notice that they’re sensing something?

Leroy does this all the time.

Like the other day when we were out for a walk and all of a sudden he got a little taller, his ears perked up, tail went up, chest puffed out and he started to whine.

My radar immediately went up and I gripped his leash a little tighter.

I surveyed my surroundings and saw nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing at all.

Great.

Something is in the woods and it’s going to run out and attack us at any moment isn’t it?

Please, please, please don’t let it be the creature I heard howling in the middle of the night last night because whatever that was did not sound friendly.

Actually, it sounded quite angry and zombie-like.

This is it.

This is how I’m going to die.

I’m going to die walking the dog.

I always knew my death would somehow be dog related.

Cause of death: Freak accident. Dog walker killed by zombie.

At this point in time what am I going to do?

I left my zombie combat items at home.

I’m totally unarmed.

I have to keep walking.

I have to try and make it home alive.

For the kids.

So we walked a little farther and Leroy was still all tense and whining and looking straight ahead.

So of course I tense a little more waiting for the zombie to jump out and then we get to a small clearing off of the sidewalk and Leroy relaxes and pulls me off the sidewalk and down a path into the woods.

Apple

Awesome.

The zombie isn’t going to jump out at me.

Leroy’s going to deliver me right to him.

Best. Dog. Ever.

I can totally relate to that! I hate it when I'm walking Haley late at night and she sees something that I don't see right away.

I just loved this, as usual your take on it is hilarious! Over the weekend I was walking Luke in the woods by our house, and he suddenly completely froze, ears went back, he was on high alert. I was looking around frantically for wildlife. A minute later I heard the snow plow truck go by on the nearby road, and knew that was what he heard. Phew!
