To Trim Or Not To Trim

_DSC01521

I’m hoping you guys can help settle a little “discussion” my husband and I have been having for the past few weeks.

Should I trim Leroy’s ears?

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with having crazy ear hair, I’m just normally a person who trims.

But to be honest Leroy’s hippie ears, as I call them, are really starting to grow on me.

They’re kind of a reminder to me of where’s he’s been over the last year and how far he’s come.

There was a time not so long ago that Leroy was covered in bald batches.

He lost most of the hair on his tails, legs, ears and everywhere else in between.

Now it’s all growing back and it’s thick and soft just like a puppy coat.

His hippie ears are a sign of good health to me and I want to keep them around for a little longer but my husband thinks they need to go.

I’m sure if I would let him tell you his reasoning for wanting them gone, whatever that may be, it would be a fairer situation for all parties involved but that wouldn’t be any fun for me.

So what do you think? You guys see Leroy almost as much as we do. Do they hippie ears need to go or should we keep them around a little longer?

Mica's ears get matted really easily when there are long, especially with all the swimming,so I have to keep them trimmed. Aspen's have been doing really well and I think they look cute so they have never been trimmed. Don't trim Leroy let him keep them long as long as no problems.

I believe that unless something is causing a medical problem it should be left the way the body "wants it".
