How To Remove Pet Hair From Every Surface.

Pet hair is apart of my daily life.

I have no problem with fur on every single surface in my house.

After all, I have one of the breeds on the list of top twenty dogs that shed so if I didn’t have pet hair everywhere it would be a concern.

However, I do have people that come to my house that aren’t all about pet hair mostly because they have allergies to it.

Not all pet hair, just brown thick Newfie hair.

For these people, I need to clean.

There’s nothing worse than having your SIL over for dinner and she’s sneezing so bad that she can hardly talk because you forgot to vacuum or when your son’s best friend spends the night unexpectedly and lays on the couch that the dogs lays on and you wake up to him with a box full of tissues next to him and used tissues all over the couch.

Poor kid.

This is why I sometimes need to remove as much fur from my house on certain occasions.

If we never had people over I wouldn’t dust, vacuum or mop. EVER.  (just kidding)

How To Remove Pet Hair From Every Surface.

Use a rubber rake or lint roller to remove pet hair from your carpet before you vacuum. Run a damp sponge over furniture to remove emedded pet hair.

I never knew about the white vinegar and I’ve heard some people recommend using a rake on carpet to remove the deep pet hair before vacuuming. Good tip! Looking for a new vacuum cleaner?

Note-we trim for neatness to get rid of excess fur we don’t cut just to stop shedding! I think it goes without saying that if you need to cut your pet’s fur because you don’t like pet hair in your house you should get a pet fish. <–Just my opinion.

Really cute infographic - even with doodles I've got to stay on top of the pet hair - what little there is...

Some great tips! I dilute non toxic fabric softener with water in a spray bottle and lighty spray carpet and furniture before vacuuming. Removes the static so hair is loosened from fibers, makes vacuuming a breeze! In the car too!

We got rid of almost all of our carpets, replaced with wood and tile, and most of our upholstered furniture (we went to leather or faux leather). That's my best tip to make hair clean up easier, but it's not exactly the most economical way to do it! LOL

Yep. Most of our rooms are laminate or hardwood. Thought about the leather furniture but couldn't convince my husband!

Luckily Sam is a breed that doesn't shed but I can always find one single hair on the butter dish. Never fails. Course, most often it's one of mine but that's just a technicality. ;)
