Sherman’s New Year’s Resolutions

_DSC0461.jpg1.jpg2

I, Sherman aka The Chosen One, do solemnly swear to do my best to keep the follow resolutions for the year of 2016.

Fight Father Time. Just because I’m getting older doesn’t mean I have to show it. Mom has the best technology working for me. She’s got this under control and all I have to do is relax and let things happen.

Keep Playing Daily. Play keeps me young. I might not be able to sprint across the yard like I use to but my mouth can still catch even the biggest of toys.

Enjoy the simple pleasures of a short walk. It’s not how far I walk it’s who I walk with and what I do on that walk. I will eat as much grass as my mom lets me and I will smell all the glorious scents that are within my nose’s reach.

Exercise my patience. I’m one of the most patient dogs there is except when I really need to be patient. Example-I could be laying in the same place for 2 hours but as soon as mom puts the Assisi Loop on my knee, I get up and move throwing the whole therapy off which makes my swear. I only have to lay there for 15 minutes. I can do this.

Bark More. Some people don’t like a barking dog but mom says every bark I make puts a smile on her face so I will continue to do that. She likes when I talk to her and I like talking to her because she’s the only one in the house that understands dog talk.

Embrace my gray hair. The color of my hair does not define who I am. I’m a wise dog with many years under my belt. I’ve seen a lot in my years. I have a lot of stories to tell and many more adventures waiting to be had. My gray hairs are just an addition to my handsomeness.

Continue to accept all of life’s treats with gratitude and slobber. Coming from an old soul with lots of experience I’ve learned that life is a gift and so is every special treat that goes into my mouth, especially when they are homemade with love.

Slobbers & Hugs,

Sherman.

Sounds like you've given this a great deal of thought! Harley didn't even attempt to come up with any resolutions this year and Jax is still too young and silly to keep his word about anything!
