12 Beers That Pair Well With The Westminster Dog ShowThe next few weeks are packed with great events and holidays. There’s the SuperBowl this weekend. Valentine’s Day next Sunday and The Westminster Dog Show February 15th and 16th. So many opportunities to enjoy a good beer but which day should I highlight for this week’s Barks n’ Brews?

Two of my favorite sports and the holiday of love.

Decisions. Decisions.

It’s definitely been difficult choosing but then I thought, why can’t good beer be paired with a good dog show?

The answer is simple, it can.

See, I’m giving you another reason to go find a good craft beer. Everybody is writing about what beer to drink for the Superbowl, what appetizers to make for the big game that use beer as an ingredient, what beer to give to your secret admirer, what beer pairs good with chocolate covered strawberries,  BUT WE’RE talking about what beer pairs well with a dog show. Nobody else is going to go there because they don’t realize it’s a good thing. It’s a good thing, I’m telling you.

And……………………………….I love you guys man. <3

Don’t want to hog all the good stuff for yourself? Bowser Beer and Beer Paws have beer made for dogs! Don’t worry! Both are safe and contain absolutely no alcohol. They actually contain meat broth and glucosamine which is good for dog’s joints! I use it in the summer to make flavored ice cubes :)

Got it all? Did you write it down? Who’s going to join me on February 15th & 16th?

**side note**We use to drink beer all the time when we were showing the boys. I would get all rowdy and shout obscenities ring side. I’m so kidding about that,  but in the summer we always hung out after the show and had a good beer with good dog friends.

  1. So many good beers on this list! And so many I’ll still have to try. I was at the store looking for a Carolina beer to drink during the game this weekend and settled for a style I’m not crazy about because my options were limited. I even tried to compromise and get a cat beer, but apparently dogs are much more popular creatures for beer labels than cats are!

  2. I am a sucker for a dog label when visiting our local beer warehouse so I have actually tried most of these :)

Double Dog by Flying Dog Brewery is one of my favorites. We have family in the area so always enjoy that when we are visiting Baltimore. You just have to be mindful of the 11.5% ABV!!

BackSeat Berner and Lagunitas Pale Ale are awesome as well!

Don’t worry, Rach and I are with you and will be enjoying a (few) beers during the show!
