Pet Bloggers Come Together For The BlogPaws 2017 Conference

**This post is sponsored by the BlogPaws® Pet Influencer Network™. I am being compensated as a BlogPaws Conference Ambassador to help share information about the BlogPaws 2017 Conference but we only share information we feel is relevant to our readers. In less than two months pet bloggers from all over the world will be gathered in one hotel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend the BlogPaws 2017 Conference. This will be my third time attending a BlogPaws Conference. I attended my first in 2013 which was held in Tyson, Virginia and in 2015 I attended the conference that was held in Nashville, Tennessee.

Pet Bloggers Come Together For The BlogPaws 2017 Conference

This year year I’ll be attending the conference a little different than I have in the past. This year I’ve been asked to be a BlogPaws Conference Ambassador which means that I get to work along side the amazing BlogPaws staff and share with other pet bloggers and pet influencers a bit more about the conference. I’ll be there to guide new attendees in the right direction and answer any questions that they may have.

In case you’re wondering what a blogger does at  one of these conferences, here’s a small outline:

Connect with people that have the same passion for blogging and pets as you. I don’t know about you but I’m the only one in my social circle at home that is a blogger and as I’m sure you know, you can only talk so much with someone about something that they don’t know much about. Take my husband for instance, he’s a great listener but he has no idea what SEO is even though I’ve explained it to him more than 50 times. He wonders what I do all day. He sees me sitting at my computer all the time but he thinks I’m playing around, he doesn’t know that I’m scheduling tweets, buffing up an old post, writing a post that’s going to buy us groceries next week or analyzing my stats.  He sees me on my phone and he thinks that I’m just looking at dog pictures all day, which I am, but I’m also trying to build a following and connect with people. He gets it but he doesn’t GET IT.  Fellow pet bloggers get it and it’s great when you get to meet up with them face to face.

Learn. During the BlogPaws Conference you attend workshops. Workshops can include SEO, brand strategy, intellectual property, copyright, monetization, social media and tons more! These workshops are taught by experts in the blogging industry. You can check out the 2017 agenda here.

Meet brands. If you’re looking to connect with some of the leading brands in the pet world, this is the place to do it. Some of the brands that you see me working with I’ve met at past conferences and have been lucky enough to form a long-term relationship with them. Brand reps are there and want to connect with you.

Motivation. We all get blogger burn out at some point and BlogPaws knows that. That’s why they have some the most inspirational speakers at their conferences. This year keynote speakers include Jay Baer and Kathleen Gage. There’s also several other amazing pet bloggers, veterinarians and digital experts that will be there speaking.

Celebrate. On the last day of the conference there’s the Nose to Nose Dinner and Awards Ceremony. It’s a red carpet event and it honors those that have been nominated for awards. We happen to be up for an award this year in the Best Pet Humor category.  Squeeeeeeee! This is the second time that My Brown Newfies is a finalist in this category and I’m so excited!

Congratulations on being an ambassador! I'll be attending (for the first time) and I'm so excited to have the chance to be meeting some of my blogging idols, including you. Any chance that Sherman or Leroy will be there too? I'd probably faint if I met them in person.
