Sherman was born 11/14/06.
He’s the most loyal dog that I have ever had.
He’s my heart dog.
He’s always by my side.
Some of the nicknames that I have for him are:
“Handsome Man”
“German”
“Berman” which is actually my daughter’s nickname for him.
Sherman earned his AKC Championship title in 12/09.
Ch. Bydand’s The Chosen One.
Sherman has been retired from the showing as of 2011
and is now trying his paws at some draft work.

OMG!! I have two newfs as well and it sounds like your two could be my dogs’ twins! Casanova is almost 3, he only wants to sit on a chair or a couch with me and only is willing to play with a red rubber toy. He gets bored during training sessions and goes to sleep or rolls onto his back for a belly rub. Gulliver is 1 and we call him our goofy-newfie or our gully-monster. He has given my husband and me a bloody nose, cuts and scrapes, and lots of bruises all over!!! He regularly falls down stairs and crashes into walls and needs to run for hours on end. I thought he was just some exception to the breed, but I’m so glad to hear that there are others like him. Needless to say, they are both my pride and joy and I couldn’t imagine living 1 second without a newf! Enjoy your boys
