Even if I some how managed to make it past the gas station the city doesn’t think that people take walks during the winter so they opt not to remove the snow from the sidewalks, or at least in this particular area.
Since the ice storm that we had a few weeks ago the boys and I have not been able to go on our daily walks.
The sidewalks that we use are just too treacherous.
Everyday we attempt to go and get only get a few hundred feet before we have to turn back due the unsafe conditions. We walk a few houses down and are fine, but as soon as we get to the corner gas station the conditions worsen. The gas station has mounds of dirty snow snow pile up on the sides that are about as tall as me. The options are to walk around them and cut through the gas station, which I attempted once only to almost get smashed by an old man in a big truck not watching where he was driving.
The second option is to attempt to climb over the snow piles with both dogs.
That attempt failed miserably when I did a face plant right into the snow pile and Leroy and Sherman just stared at me shaking their heads and then I caught some guy pumping gas laughing at me.
