Today I’m doing our first review and giveaway on jewelry. I’m not a huge jewelry fan and something really has to catch my eye in order for me to be interested enough to take a second glance.
Mark Poulin’s new interchangeable magnetic necklaces caught my eye the first time I saw them, specifically his MarmarSuperstar brand that features dogs.
This is three necklaces in one.
Made with a pewter bezel that hangs on a 30″ silvertone ball chain.
The set comes in a hinged tin ready for gift giving.
You can add other one inch magnets for endless possibilities
Gracie loved the necklace set as soon it arrived. She wanted to wear it to school to make all the girls jealous.
I told her that I wanted to wear it to work to make all the girls jealous.
We came to the agreement that we would alternate days.
The necklace magnets are super cute and very easy to interchange, so easy that Gracie said she would demonstrate it for you.
The magnets have good holding properties too because Gracie wore it all day jumping around and the magnet stayed put, which is important to any girl.
There are many different magnets you can choose from too. From dogs and cats, to farm friends, monkeys, llamas, unicorns, bees and even breed specific magnets.
In addition to the Mutt Love necklace set, we were also sent 2 other packs of dog lover magnets.
My favorite magnet is the bone shaped one, and Gracie’s is the “brown dog” one because it looks like one of the brown Newfs. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that it was actually a Rottweiler. I’ll let her think it’s a Newf with a mustache.
I was really impressed with the cuteness and uniqueness factor of this necklace, and for $22 for most necklace sets, it would make a great stocking stuffer for any girl on your list!
A little bit about Mark Poulin and the MarmarSuperstar line:
“Years ago I took some metal classes at the local Recreation center here in Oakland called Studio One. I learned how to make a wax carving from a drawing and how to cast it in to sterling silver. It still a process that fills me with excitement and fuels my creativity. The only thing I love more than metal work is drawing and my collection allows me to keep doing both. My biggest challenge is editing my drawings down to their simplest essence so they will still pack in the personality but can still be worn as jewelry”
“I like fun things. I like inexpensive things. I decided to devote part of my workshop to that part of me. This is the place I get to use every day materials like paper and magnets to make art projects that become necklaces or key chains or greeting cards.”
AND if you follow the rafflecopter below, you can enter for a chance to any item in his store, up to a $36 value! Open to US residents only.
