The Shoe Bandit.

Spring in Ohio can be quite a mystery.

Everyday is different.

One day it’s 75 degrees, the next it’s 30 degrees, and some days it’s just an even 60 degrees.

There’s no rhyme or season and this can wreak havoc on your footwear.

You don’t know what shoes you’re going to wear until you wake up in the morning and let the dogs outside.

This is why every pair of shoes that I own are by the front door right now.

Winter boots, flats, flip flops, running shoes, dress boot, sandals.

That’s 6 pairs of shoes all in a pile by the door.

If your a Math whiz like me, that means 12 shoes.

So why is that there is only six shoes in the pile right now?

I’ll tell you why. It’s because Leroy likes to grab one of my shoes every time I walk through the door.

I could be going outside to get the mail or gone at work for 8 hours and always grabs one of shoes and runs around the house with it.

I’m not gonna lie, it’s cute and I love that he does this.

However, when you’re running late to work and you can’t find the matching shoe, you get a little frantic.

“Roy! Where’s my other shoe?” I say at least 50 times a week.

I always expect him to tell me exactly where it is but he never does.

The other day I had to wear Gracie’s shoes to work because Gracie is smart and puts all her shoes in her room just like I taught her.

It was the only matching pair of shoes I could find in the house and they were pink sparkling Sketchers, just right for an 11 year old girl, not so much for her mother.

Luckily they were comfy.

I’ve since been able to locate all but 2 of my shoes. One of my favorite flip flops is still MIA.

So does your dog steal your shoes too?

LOL have to laugh at this because it is the exact same in my house. I have a shoe pile and I had to add back in the cold weather boots I put away (obviously too soon). Freighter loves to grab a shoe and run around with it like it is a prize discovery. It makes me laugh because he is always such a serious dog.

No shoe thieves here, however when Maia was young I lost a couple of sandals to the chew monster. Thankfully she out grew that ;)
