Ok.. so I’m not really sure if it was a concussion but it felt like one.
Here’s the story:
The other night I came home from work and was playing in the house
with the boys.
I decided to mix things up so I started running around the kitchen table
and of course Leroy started chasing me and Sherman was chasing him.
After about 6 times around the table I started to get dizzy so
I made a quick move into the family room.
As I did this I slightly turned to see exactly how close Leroy
was behind me.
It was at that exact moment that he decided to do one of his flying leaps
at me and his massive skull crashed into the side of my face,
you know that area right below your eye where that bone is.
OUCH!
145 pounds of pure massiveness right to the side of my head.
145 pounds of pure massiveness right to the side of my head.
But….
I didn’t fall, I staggered a bit and then I felt the throbbing in my brain…
it was like womp..womp…womp
then everything went black for a second.
Then…
I got yelled at.
My husband who was sitting at the kitchen table that we were running around
jumped up and yelled:
Damn it Jennifer!
(that’s how I knew I was in trouble,
my full name only gets used when I am in BIG trouble.)
When are you going to learn?!
You can’t do that with him!(Leroy)
He’s too big.
One of these days I’m going to come home from work and your going
to be laying on the floor or the ground unconscious!
Use your head!
***Sigh***
I really had no rebuttal because it was my fault.
and no,
and no,
I am never going to learn…
and I did use my head.
and I did use my head.
Duh.
So Leroy and I hung our heads and walked to the bathroom mirror
to check out my injury.
As we were walking I may have flipped my husband the bird.
I’m just sayin… I might have…
It’s unclear with the concussion and all:)
Sorry there are no pictures to go along with the story..

I thought to myself but "she did use her head" and then you wrote it lol. Great minds. Thanks for the giggles - hope your head feels better though!

Ouch! I hope you are OK. You should get yourself checked out by a doctor just in case. Now, I am not so sure what flipping the bird means, but Mama laughed when she read this and said she would have done the same thing!Your pal, Pip

I'm sure your hubby was worried about finding you on the floor one day! I hope your injury isn't too bad and you feel better now.

That sounds painful! Hope you're feeling better now and that it didn't cause too muc swelling.
