The Focused And Unfocused Faces Of The Brown Duo

The Focused And Unfocused Faces Of The Brown Duo

I’ve been trying to get more pictures with Sherman and Leroy together this summer.

It’s not easy.

After 9 years I’ve finally gotten Sherman semi-comfortable in front of the camera.

He’s finally realized that the camera isn’t going to bite him and if he sits pretty for 3 minutes, he’ll get a treat.

Leroy’s always been a natural in front of the camera but his attention span is the size of a very small pea.

It’s easy to get a picture of him when he’s just doing what he does but if you ask him to sit still and pose he’s a little uncooperative.

Especially if the neighbor is out cutting the grass.

And if the other neighbor is out watering the flowers.

He can look everywhere but at the camera.

He’s actually to the point in his life where if he sees the camera, he’s like-“forget you” and goes running or he acts like he’s the saddest dog in the world.

He can hear everything going on in the neighborhood except for me calling his name.

See the focus and determination on Sherman’s face.

And Leroy’s lack thereof.

Oh wait.

I finally got his attention.

That’s awesome Leroy.

Tell me how you really feel.

If you have multiple dogs, is it easy or difficult to get a good shot of them together?

Mica or Aspen will stop what they are doing to look at the camera for a picture. To get them together I have to just grab a picture if they are close. Posing them together so far isn't happening.

It is ridiculously hard to get Bentley and Pierre in a photo together both looking at the camera. THe backyard is impossible with Pierre because well, there are squirrels! LOL!

Moses is not only very photogenic but a very confident ham when the camera comes out. Poor Jordan, for being such a pretty girl she takes terrible pictures in part because it's hard to get her attention. And trying to get both of them together...she's so focused on keeping her brother in line than sitting still that I end up looking and sounding like a crazy person trying distract her from Moses in order to get her to look at the camera!

I don't even have multiple dogs and it's a challenge to get photos of Laika. It's disturbing how many photos I end up taking just to get 1 or 2 decent ones. Thank goodness for digital cameras, I can't even imagine how many rolls of film us bloggers would be going through otherwise.

It's like trying to photograph teenagers. One will be all smiles, the other one pouty. Even still...your guys are adorable❣️
