Dog Hair Is Scotch Tapes Biggest Enemy.

I started the daunting task of wrapping Christmas presents yesterday.

For the past 3 years I’ve tried to pick a theme for wrapping paper. I like all the presents to coordinate but I don’t want them exactly the same.

It’s actually quite silly because no one in my house cares what the wrapping paper looks like or if it matches. They see it for 2  minutes and then they rip it to shreds.

It’s even more silly because I’m not a “coordinated decorative” kind of person but when it comes to Christmas presents I want to be that person.

So I bought my wrapping paper, bows and all the fixings for pretty presents. I spent a lot of time picking the stuff out and more money than I should of spent on paper. (Don’t tell my husband)

Then, with Christmas music playing,  I sat down and started to wrap.

Of course I had issues with the first present. Stupid thick wrapping paper.

Then the tape issues started.

Dog hair on every damn piece.

I forgot about Scotch tape and dog hair.

It’s like a frickin magnet.

Even if you vacuumed, swept and vacuumed again seconds before,  the tape will be covered in dog hair.

Every piece you pull off will eventually have dog hair on it.

Obviously, I know this because it’s not my first adventure with Scotch tape, but this year it seems to be extra magnetic-like.

It’s like I just have dog hair floating around in the air and as soon as I take a piece of tape it shoots down and sticks to it.

My point is this, if you get a present from me this Christmas, or anytime of the year, it’ll have dog hair on it and probably in it.

We’re going to call that a personal touch.

Or group participation.

We all added something to your present and that should make you smile.

So what about you? Is your Scotch tape super magnetic-like this year too?

This will be our last blog post before Christmas so I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I’ll be sending out our holiday newsletter later today! Love and merry wishes you all!

Yes, very true. Every time we do something with scotch tape, I will find dog's hair. Even my dogs don't shed that much but still I am seeing dog's hair on scotch tape.

Even dogs that 'don't shed' manage to find the tape dispenser! Feliz Navidog to you and the shedders! ?

This always happens with packaging tape when I'm boxing up something to take to the post office--and with Barley's black hair, it's not like you can hide it against those bright white flat rate boxes.

My dog hair has dog hair on it! If it has tape on it, it has dog hair under the tape. #FactOfLife

Every gift we give has some fur in the tape. It's our "signature", although no one seems to notice besides Mom. If people complain, take the gift back! Now without Katie the fur situation has diminished significantly, but we still have enough for gift wrapping.
