If you’ve ever looked at you Newfoundland and thought, “You’d make the perfect children’s book character”, hello, you’re my people.

And if you’ve ever spotted a tiny toad hopping through your yard and your Newfie tries to befriend it, you totally get where this idea for a children’s picture book came from.

A Newfie and a toad playing in a backyard, yeah…that’s pretty darn adorable and the world needs to see it.

This too cute to handle series is based on a real-life friendship about Lou, the fluffy brown Newfoundland, and Todd, the bumpy little toad.

What started as a daily toad watch turned into a full blown picture book series and now we’re on a mission to bring joy, laughter, and a little backyard magic to kids (and adults) everywhere.

The plan is to have a book for every season so right now we have the spring and summer series live and ready to purchase.

Besides the actual picture book, there is also a coloring book and/or an activity book to go with it.

The Adventures of Lou & Todd: When Lou Met Todd

In this book, Lou discovers Todd for the first time.

There’s sniffing. There’s drooling. There’s mud.

There’s suspense (but not scary suspense; adorably cute, fluffy and bumpy suspense).

The scene is the same but the story is not!

In this book, Lou and Todd do some summer exploring in the backyard.

There’s sprinklers, melting popsicles and summer naps in the garden.

It’s messy. It’s sticky. It’s wet. It’s adorable.

Lou & Todd Summer Coloring Book

This was a fun one for me to create!

There’s scenes from the book for you to color and there’s also some surprise guests!

Yep, Odin and Finn make a few appearance in this book and it’s SO cute.

This coloring book is for kids + adults and has single sided pictures so you don’t have to worry about markers bleeding though to the next page.

The Lou & Todd Search & Find Book

So far this is the first search and find book in the series.

It was so fun to create this.

It features some scenes from the picture book + plus some other really cute scenes like a camping scene, fishing scene, picnic scene and so much more!

Kids are challenged to find hidden items such as flowers, ice cubes, turtles, baseballs, bugs, towels……etc
