No, none of the boys have them. Thank the Lord.
But I have seen way to many of them this past week …on other people’s pets.
They are gross.
They rank right up there with spiders and snakes. Y-U-C-K.
The only thing I like about them is breaking their backs between my thumbnail. (sorry to all the animal activists out there, but I don’t think the world will miss a few fleas.)
After I see these little creatures my head starts to itch, along with my arms and my ankles. Sometimes I worry that they jumped in my scrub pockets, so if I see a lot of fleas at work one day, I will change my scrubs before going home.
Now I know some people choose to treat their pets naturally for fleas, which is great but I choose to treat the boys with Frontline Plus.
****Disclaimer***
Frontline is not paying me to promote their product.
They don’t even know that I am alive.
However, if someone from Frontline would happen
to see this, they can feel free to send me a year’s worth
of product!
So for your viewing pleasure I have provided you with a nice little diagram of the life cycle of a flea.
Enjoy
And if you feel you need to learn more about these pesky little critters you can go here.
Just to add, I have been lucky enough to never have a dog have fleas.
I am sure after this post I will.
So have you ever had fleas hitching a ride on your best friend?

First of all, I would love to photograph your boys someday! :)Second- I was told by my vet that Frontline isn't working as well as it used to against fleas, they are becoming immune to it! eek! I switched my dogs to K9 Advantage.(Frontline is in the process of changing their product because of this, although I'm not sure how long it will take)

On the Big Guy mama always used Frontline Plus...and Advantix for awhile...they were giving out free samples of that here at the cottage. On us...mama has been using a product called RediCare...which is indeed an all natural product that is sprayed on. She can use it on herself as well. We don't spend huge amounts of time outside...especially lying on the grass like Zippo used to. If we are outside...we are usually chasing something or up on the table! We hope that nobody has to deal with those nasty critters!!

I too love squishing those little buggers between my nails...very satisfying! Out of all the flea products out there, I still love Frontline the best!

This is the first year we have ever seen a flea on any of our dogs. I guess they are just really bad this year. You can bet that we use Frontline Plus on a very regular basis, especially since we take them hiking quite a bit, too. The ticks have been awful around here this year, too!
