I don’t rhyme very well but I’ll try it just this one time, to honor one of the best children authors of all time. So please sit back and relax and start taking some notes of some of my all time favorite Dr. Seuss quotes.
“Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!”
― Dr. Seuss
“Look at me!Look at me!
Look at me NOW!
It is fun to have fun
But you have to know how.”
― Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat (Deluxe Edition)
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
― Dr. Seuss, The Lorax
“Think and wonder, wonder and think.”― Dr. Seuss
“Oh the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all.”― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”― Dr. Seuss
“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.”
― Dr. Seuss
So these are some of my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes, which one of these quotes has got your vote? Or maybe you would like to share one of your favorite Dr. Seuss quotes, and if you do I’ll be sure to put it in my handy dandy tote that carries all my notes, filled with all my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes.
I’ll stop now with my rhyming game, because by now I’m sure you’re thinking I’m quite lame, but keep in mind I gave it a shot and a rhyming author I obviously am not!
“You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.”
What better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday than reading to a child? On the evening of March 2nd (Dr. Seuss’s birthday), Random House and the National Education Association (NEA) urge you to participate in the second annual Read Across America and read to a child

As a very young child, I had A Fish Out of Water memorized...So I just googled it and surprised the heck out of myself. It was not by Dr.Seuss but by his wife based on a short story he wrote. A life time of thinking it was a Dr.Seuss was just shattered :-)

I love Dr. Seuss, and I wanted to do a post about him today, but I got distracted and the brain cells aren't firing at their highest level. *sigh*
My favorite Dr. Seuss quote is "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!"
