Not The Informational Post I Was Going For But…….

I made a promise to myself at the beginning of the year to try and consistently post 3 times a week because for the last few months of 2015 I slacked and I don’t want to be a slacker.

My goal was to post a fun post, an informational post and a Barks n’ Brews post each week.  My informational post that I had planned for today isn’t quite ready.

Alright. Fine. It’s not even started.

Gah. I’m such a slacker.

BUT I can resolve this issue right here, right now and give you an informational post of why I don’t have an informational post ready.

Ready?

Instead of pre-writing an informational post when I was suppose to I came home from work and made dinner. Grilled cheese, tomato soup and french fries. Yum.

Then I fed the dogs.

After that I went to get on my laptop but Bobby stole it from me because he needed to do his homework. So then I trimmed Sherman’s nails, getting as close to that secret grey dot as I could, and then cleaned Leroy’s ears. Next I snuggled up  to Leroy because he was super toasty and I was super cold.

By then Bobby was done with his homework and my laptop was free but the kids wanted to play a game of “Whoever Drops It Loses.” If you’re new to the blog this is a simple game that we play with one of Leroy’s several FurBallz. The game is self explanatory. Whoever drops it first loses. I always drop it first which is why I prefer a game of Hello Kitty Bingo but I don’t make the rules.

After I dropped the FurBallz first, damn it,   I took on a game of tug with Leroy.

Then Sherman wanted to play catch so we did.

Then I worked on my beer glass for this week’s Barks n’ Brews and got extremely irritated because it’s not so easy to write on glass..

After that the laptop was free but I grabbed my cell phone to play around with my new Family Base Verizon app. For those of you that have teenagers this app looks worthwhile. I’m new to it but I like what it has to offer so far. It gives me way more insight on how the cell phone is being used and I can set limits if need be.  It’s my new best friend. Except I accidentally locked Bobby out of his phone so the app became my worst enemy for 5 minutes. I swear it was an accident.  If you’re wondering why I would need such an app, you just haven’t been reading this blog long enough.

But what happened next was that I discovered my Smart Rewards from Verizon. I knew that I had these reward points, I just didn’t know what to do with them. Then I found it,

Auctions. AUCTIONS.

A place where I can use my reward points on fun gift cards by simply placing a bid!

Did you guys know about that? Why didn’t you tell me?

Anyway, that’s where I was the rest of the night. Bidding on a Verizon gift card that I could use to pay my bill with. Obviously, there’s a learning curve here because I’ve been outbid on every card that I’ve bid on, and there’s been many. I think someone’s job is to make sure they outbid me but I’m not going down that easy Mr. Professional Bidder.  I will win one of my bids if it’s the last thing I do! I earned these rewards!

So……..that’s the informational post that I have for today. It’s nothing like the one that was suppose to be about dogs eating rocks but hopefully it provided you with something useful.

If nothing else maybe you’ll play a fun game of Whoever Drops It Loses tonight.

p.s. Thanks to The EmBARKadero for posting the most embarrassing picture of me ever yesterday. A picture that talks about crusty dog slobber in my hair. Credit to the blog would of made it a little more bearable but the fact that more than 5 people referenced the scene from Something About Mary makes up for most of it. Thank dog someone out there gets my references even if it did take 3 years.
