The Pack. Celebrating The Bond Between Dogs And Their Humans

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx on behalf of Amazon Prime Video

The bond between a Newfie and their person is one thing that I’ve never been able to put into words.

It’s indescribable because it’s that special.

It’s the reason why we keep going back and back to this amazing breed no matter what.

It’s the reason why we change our entire lifestyle.

Everybody’s bond with their Newfie is going to be a little bit different but each bond will touch our hearts and leave a lasting impression in our life.

My bond with Sherman was strong from the beginning.

We bonded within the first week that he was home with us and our bond grew stronger as the years went by.

He was my velcro Newfie and he was always by my side.

He protected me and my children and I felt safer knowing he was there.

Leroy and I did NOT bond right away, in fact, it took many years before we bonded.

I wanted to bond with him so bad and it bothered me a lot that we didn’t.

He just didn’t bond with anyone.

But when we did finally bond it was amazing and stronger than any bond that I’ve known.

Now, Odin and I had an almost instant bond.

I think I held myself back a little bit at first because of the circumstances of losing Sherman and trying to keep Leroy going but no one can deny that we were destined to be together.

Today we have an amazing bond but it’s a different bond because a bond with a rescue dog is totally different!

Now Finn, well Finn is different and the bond is a little different but it is definitely growing and there.

In fact, I love this little dog more than I ever thought that I could!

I love seeing the canine-human bond and it gives me chills to watch it unfold and that’s why I’m so excited about the new Pack on Amazon Prime movie premiering on November 20th.

About The Pack on Amazon Prime

The Pack, is a new global unscripted series that celebrates the unrivaled bond between dogs and their human companions and is hosted by Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and her dog Lucy.

This fun Amazon video series features twelve teams of dogs and their humans on an epic adventure across multiple continents.

The Amazon original series The Pack will premiere on November 20th, on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

At stake is a life-changing $750,000 for the winning duo and their charity, $500,000 to the winners plus an additional $250,000 prize amount for the animal charity of their choice.

Additionally, The Pack donated $250,000 during filming to multiple charities and animal rescue organizations in each country, helping to pay it forward to dogs and those who love them around the world.

To win the monetary prize for themselves and their charity, the teams will have to depend on their understanding of one another’s strengths and weaknesses and prove to have the strongest bond in the pack.

In each locale, the human and dog duos will face fun and exciting challenges, designed in concert with a team of accredited veterinarians and certified dog experts that also accompany the group on their exciting journey, making sure it is a positive experience for everyone.

This would be something that I would love to do one day!

One of the many things that Sherman and Leroy taught me was to really sit back and observe them.

Every dog is an individual and every dog has different strengths and weaknesses.

When you take the time to learn those, the possibilities are endless!

Hi Jen, great article! I wonder if you can help me. Annie, my 3 year old brown newfie has torn her ligaments in both knees--right worse than the left. Occurred on wet grass during a zoomie episode when her butt flew out from under her as she attempted an impossible 360 degree turn. She's 116 pounds. So, she's to have surgery in early December and become bionic dog. The surgeon is one of the best in the country, so i’m not worried. However, there's a 6 week recovery period where Annie has to be still. Yipes!! Annie does not know that word. Even now, full of pain killers and anti-swelling medication, all she wants to do is play. How do you keep a really playful 3 year old quiet for 6 weeks? Any suggestions?
