Free Backyard Explorer Scavenger Hunt + Certificate For Kids (Printable PDF)

Lou and Todd have an important mission for all little (and big) adventurers.

They’re inviting kids to head outside, explore their backyard, notice nature’s little wonders, and complete a fun backyard explorer scavenger hunt!

And the best part?

After the fun, explorers can earn their very own official backyard explorer certificate.

Why We Made This

As Lou has shown us over the past few years, sometimes the best adventures can happen right outside your door.

A backyard can be full of amazing things when you slow down and look closely such as:

  • birds singing in trees
  • flowers blooming
  • bugs crawling in the grass
  • clouds drifting by in the sky

You know, tiny things that a lot of people miss because they’re rushing.

Lou is very good at slowing down and spotting new things.

After all, that’s how he found Todd!

So we created this simple but fun printable activity to help kids get outside, use their imagination and find something amazing.

Final Message from Mayor Lou

Adventure doesn’t always require a big trip or fancy things.

Sometimes it starts with one flower, one leaf, one tiny toad and a curious heart.

Happy exploring!
