Welcome To Doggy Dining 101: How To Add Raw Pet Food To Your Dog’s Diet With Ease

  1. Set table setting. Towel. Dog dish.
  2. Place dog behind table
  3. Place bib on dog to catch slobber
  4. Allow dog to stare at bag and slobber for a few seconds
  5. Scoop Stella & Chewy’s® Meal Mixers onto food.
  6. Moisten with a little bit of warm water.
  7. Mix
  8. Serve!

It’s that easy to add a little bit of raw food to your dog’s kibble which is why we’ve been adding Stella & Chewy’s raw pet food to Sherman’s kibble for well over a year now.

I’ve been interested in feeding a raw food diet for awhile but I never made the commitment because I didn’t trust myself to do it properly. With Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers I don’t have to worry about that and I can continue to give Sherman his regular kibble and adjust his calories as needed. Since we’re on a budget, it’s also more affordable for me to do it this way, especially with a giant breed dog.

Sherman normally gets the Savory Salmon and Cod Meal Mixers because he’s a fish freak but for this post we were sent the Stella Super Beef to try so we switched things up a little bit.

I’ll be honest. Sherman didn’t seem to mind the Stella’s Super Beef one bit but I think the Savory Salmon and Cod produced an inch more of bilateral slobber strings.

How We Use It

I give Sherman 2 scoops on his food twice a day and hydrate it with some warm water.  I also use it as treats in one of his dog puzzles. This has made his puzzle much more interesting for him and he picked it up a lot quicker because of course he doesn’t want to miss any Stella & Chewy’s in there!

Every batch of product is tested by an independent lab for pathogenic bacteria including salmonella and E. coli O157:H7. Only after the results are confirmed as negative is product released for shipment. Each certificate of analysis from the outside lab is posted to the Stella and Chewy’s website. I haven't converted to "raw" yet (for many of the reasons you wrote about) but I have switched to dehydrated and the Boys love it. Nice review.
