Boy, it seems like I haven’t done a dog show update in quite a long time!!!
We hit the road this weekend for one of our last shows of the year this weekend.
Before the show Leroy was still needing 5 more points to earn his championship title.
Yup. 5 lonely points stand between us and another Championship title.
After the show this weekend, Leroy needs 1 MORE POINT!!!
Yep! That’s right I said only 1 MORE POINT!!!
We had a good weekend at the show.
Leroy looked nice, still in need of some coat, but better than a few months ago. He moved fantastic, but could of held his head a bit higher. (you can ALWAYS do better, right?)
He walked away with Winner’s Dog on Saturday, earning 2 points and went Best of Winners on Sunday, earning 2 more points.
So that is where we stand. 1 more point to go and 1 more show left for us this year.
The next show is our biggest show of the year, the Cleveland Crown Classic in December.
It is also a Newfoundland specialty this year, which means there are bound to be some big entries.
This is not the ideal show to go into only needing 1 more point because the competition is going to be fierce. That and the fact that I am NOT going to be there is giving me indigestion.
Only a dog show bigger than this could keep me away from being there, but we will talk about that later.
