What I Did This Week While You Were Gone And I Was Home

Sorry that I haven’t posted my Saturday roundup post in a few weeks. Things got a little busy, but now it’s all good!

In at home news. I’m still having issues adjusting and I’m going a little out of mind. I have found that getting out of my pajamas seems to help get me motivated and Leroy and I have had some really great walks in the park where I am continually asked if I’m walking a bear. I’ve gotten pretty good at smiling and nodding.

My favorite picture that I took this week was this one of Sherman:

As for cooking dinners. I’m in a total rut. I’ve got dinner planned for maybe 2 nights of the week and the other days I’m running to the store an hour before dinner time trying to get something together.

Blah! I like it better when my husband was in charge of dinners!

Both of the kids are grounded for different reasons. They are not allowed access to any electronic devices which is killing them, but it’s good for me because I’ve gotten to see their pouting faces all week long!

On the blog this week we talked about Leroy and his never ending grudge and his steak stealing abilities.

We found a great new treat that have chia seeds and now I must find some of those for myself as so many people have given me ways to add them into my diet! I’m so behind the times!

Oh….and I’m a leaf thief too.

This weeks round up post is here to highlight a fun giveaway that our friends over at Kol’s Notes is having. Stop on by and enter for a chance to win a custom pet portrait by the amazing artist AJ!

And BIG NEWS!

Last year on November 16th we had the first ever National Slobber Appreciation Day. It was done as kind of a joke but it was super fun and I asked around this week and people want to do it again! So next Saturday will be the 2nd National Slobber Appreciation Day but…………we’re going to dedicate a whole week to slobber so if you aren’t fond of slobbery goobers  you might want to take a short break from us, but I hope you don’t because it’s going to be fun!

And………..if you want to participate get those slobber pictures ready!

I found a load of really cheap recipe books and have discovered some brilliant new recipes - has really helped to get me out of the rut I was in!

We call it drool in our house. I'm not sure I have any photos of it though.

ewwww, look at all that slobber. I guess SOMEBODY needs to appreciate it ;)

I keep hearing things about chia seeds too, but they've been SO expensive in my local stores, I just can't bring myself to get any.

Jen, I have never seen Brown Newfies before, your 2 buddies are absolutely gorgeous!! In fact, we traveled to Newfoundland and didn't see a single one, black or brown! I am owned by a sweet Golden Retriever,Molly. (who is making me type one handed so I can pet her!) Keep up the great blog! Kathy
