When we bought my car nearly 12 years ago it was my dream car.

The Suburban was a nice upgrade from our Jeep Cherokee.

It was big and had plenty of room for our future family.

I also secretly knew it would be a great car for my future Newfoundland (s).

Over the years my Suburban has never let me down.

It’s safely been our family’s main transportation device to every single function you can imagine. It’s been to several states and has been involved in some minor traffic violations.

It’s also been the only vehicle to transport the dogs from various dog related events, veterinarian appointments, walks in the parks, trips to grandma’s house and quick trips to the bank.

Over the years the car has become better known as the Newf Mobile.

It’s not the cleanest car on the the block.

It smells like dog. It has slobber and nose prints all over the windows and if you’re driving with the windows down, dog hair will fly.

I’m not embarrassed by it. It is what it is and I have my share of decals on it to let people know that this car is owned by dogs.

It seems like a lot of other people like to show that the vehicle they are driving are occupied by dogs also.
