Welcome to our 4th annual Christmas Tree Pull List!
As expected this year’s tree pull list will look different than years in the past.
There are several that are not taking place and a new pull in Ohio.
Last year there were 13 pulls happening across the country and this year I’ve only been able to find 4 pulls taking place and one has just canceled bringing the total down to only 3.
Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, you have Newfies pulling trees at farms this year!
With restrictions varying from state to state, it’s hard to keep track so please call ahead or check the event before heading out.
Also, please keep in mind that everyone’s safety is important so please be respectful and patient at these events for the sake of the dogs, people, and businesses involved.

This is a great chance for you to get out and support your fellow Newfies, and if you’ve been looking to get a Newfoundland, this is a great way to see the breed in action and talk to many educated people who can help answer any questions that you might have.
Here’s a shortlist of some of the Christmas tree pull events that I’ve found going on in November and December of 2020.
Located in Walworth, Wisconsin.
The event takes place on November 28th, 2020, 12 am-4 pm
For several reasons, there will not be as many dogs, as usual, this year.
The dogs love to work, but with fewer dogs, they won’t be able to keep up with the usual demand so not everyone will be able to have a tree pulled.
I’m not sure which club will be there representing the Newfies because one is not listed as of yet.

CANCELLED
Located in Mohnton, Pennsylvania.
CANCELLED- Newfies will still be there but not the breed club.
This is what I’ve found advertised so far if you know of any others please let me know and I will add it to the list.
Once again, this list may change due to COVID restrictions so please check the event page.
*I have tripled checked TODAY to make sure that the above pulls are still happening and they are on as of 11/22/2020.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to attend one of these events make sure to support the regional club by providing the Newfie who hauls your tree a tip or make a donation to their club. These Newfies are working hard for other Newfies!
Also, every year that we post about these events we get a lot of people asking about how to get a Newfie involved in carting.
We highly recommend contacting your regional Newfoundland group who can further assist you with the training and equipment needed.
We do have a Beginner’s Guide To Carting With Your Dog that you can check out to see what’s involved.
