2024 Newfoundland Dog Christmas Tree Pull List

Welcome to our 8th annual Newfoundland Dog Christmas Tree Pull List!

Just an FYI that this list isn’t complete yet but since many of the hauls are taking place right after Thanksgiving, I wanted to get this up a few weeks before the events so that you have time to plan.

If you want to check out last year’s list, you can view that HERE

If you’re looking for a festive way to kick off the holiday season you might want to check out your local Christmas tree farm and see what type of fun events kick off at the end of November.

There’s a handful of Christmas tree farms across the country that will proudly be hosting events that include dogs, specifically Newfoundlands, who have volunteered their time to help haul your Christmas tree!

This is a great chance for you to get out and support your fellow Newfies, and if you’ve been looking to get a Newfoundland, this is a great way to see the breed in action and talk to many educated people who can help answer any questions that you might have.

And if you’re new here, Newfies are working dogs that are best known for their tremendous lifesaving skills in the water and on land.

Newfies use their sound structure, strength and working drive to haul carts, wagons and yes, Christmas trees!

Every year since as far back as I can remember, around the holidays Newfies and their owners will gather at select Christmas tree farms across the country and haul Christmas trees.

They do this to brighten up your holiday and to raise money for Newfies that are in need.

Over the years, this fun tradition has grown and each year more events are added.

So far there are 14 pulls taking place this year in November and December in California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington and Wisconsin.

If you’re lucky enough to be able to attend one of these events make sure to support the regional club by providing the Newfie who hauls your tree a tip or making a donation to the club.

These Newfies are working hard for other Newfies!

Also, every year that we post about these events we get a lot of people asking about how to get a Newfie involved in carting.

We highly recommend contacting your regional Newfoundland group which can further assist you with the training and equipment needed.
