The Bark Returns

We were making dinner Sunday night and getting to that really crucial time.

You know that time where the last 2 minutes of a meal that you’ve been preparing for well over an hour can make or break the whole meal.

Well we were there when we heard this sound.

It’s a sound that normally wouldn’t make us stop in our tracks but it’s also a sound that we haven’t heard in quite some time.

Woof.

Then a little louder.

Woof. Woof.

Then a little louder with some more power behind it.

WOOF. WOOF. WOOF.

We stepped away from the kitchen and into the front room because enough though we knew the sound well,  we wanted to see it in action.

And there it was.

Mr. Leroy standing at the front door barking at a passerby.

It was music to our ears.

A little off key but music nonetheless…… and it didn’t stop there.

Later that evening he was in the backyard with his big off key bark letting the neighborhood know he was back.

Welcome back Mr. Leroy. We have a long way to go but we’re glad you’re back in the game.
